Davenport & Cale Green encompasses the communities of Davenport, Cale Green, Shaw Heath, and Adswood. Local Councillor Alice Delemare is working hard alongside residents to make this area an even better place to live.
Davenport and Cale Green is a diverse and vibrant ward covering the neighbourhoods of Adswood, Cale Green, Davenport and Shaw Heath, with a strong community spirit and excellent transport links into Stockport and Manchester. Alice Delemare is your local Liberal Democrat councillor, elected in May 2026, and she is already hard at work on the issues that matter most to residents.
Alice is pushing Stockport Council and Transport for Greater Manchester to deliver step-free access at Davenport Station, so that wheelchair users, parents with pushchairs, and older residents can use their local station independently. She is also campaigning for a safe pedestrian crossing on Garners Lane, where a long stretch of road with no designated crossing point forces residents to cross a busy road without any safe place to do so every single day. Alongside these bigger campaigns, Alice is on hand to help with the everyday issues that affect quality of life across the ward, from fly-tipping and potholes to planning concerns and anti-social behaviour. No issue is too small. If something is making life harder in your street or neighbourhood, get in touch at info@SKLibDems.org.uk or call 07518 788593.
