Alice Leads Litter Pick at Shaw Heath Recreation Ground

Councillor Alice Delemare joined local volunteers for a litter pick at Shaw Heath Recreation Ground last week, as part of her commitment to keeping Davenport and Cale Green's green spaces clean and welcoming for everyone.

Alice was joined by volunteers Howard, Marcel and Jason for the afternoon session, which saw the group tidy up the recreation ground while also chatting with residents enjoying the park. As well as picking up litter, the team gathered new casework and heard ideas from residents about improvements they would like to see in the area.

Alice said: "A huge thank you to Howard, Marcel and Jason for giving up their time and getting stuck in. Events like this are a great reminder of how much people care about their local green spaces. If you know of a problem area in Davenport and Cale Green that needs attention, whether it is persistent litter, fly-tipping, or anything else affecting your local park or open space, please do get in touch.
